The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG holds the historical distinction of being the first automobile entirely designed, developed, and constructed by AMG from its inception.
Before the SLS AMG, the performance division exclusively modified existing Mercedes-Benz production models.
Its distinctive Gullwing doors, historical significance, and the conclusion of the V8 era contribute to its unparalleled appeal. Few vehicles can replicate this combination, and with only 250 units delivered to the UK, these cars are increasingly difficult to acquire.
**Powertrain:** The vehicle was propelled by a meticulously hand-assembled 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine (M159), generating 563 horsepower. At its introduction, AMG proudly declared it "the world's most powerful naturally aspirated production series engine."
